How long have you been with Goji? What is your role on your team?
I joined Goji in March 2023 as a Senior QA Engineer, so my role is to ensure that the quality of our product is high in order to provide the best possible solution to our customers.
What initially interested you about Goji? What do you enjoy about working here?
I got excited when I heard about the acquisition of Goji from Euroclear, as I think Goji is a great addition to the Euroclear family and together they can achieve great things.
Goji is a fast-growing company that provides its employees with great opportunities to grow and learn. I feel very lucky to be part of that growth.
Where did you work prior to joining Goji? How has this shaped your role here?
I was a Senior QA Engineer in a startup in the energy sector. There I improved my knowledge in automated testing and its different types, such as performance and security testing. I also learned how to prioritise tasks according to the business needs, mentor other engineers and be a strong advocate for quality throughout the business.
As my role in Goji is split between technical tasks and making sure that we have the right processes in place to maintain and improve the quality of our product, the skills I have acquired are invaluable.
Give us the inside scoop – what are some of the unique aspects of working at Goji?
The team is awesome! Every single person is friendly and ready to help you and answer any questions you might have. Also, everyone is so knowledgeable that you always feel like you are developing and being challenged to grow.
What was your dream job as a child? Tell us a bit about your journey to where you are today.
Since I was a child, I wanted to work in the technology sector. I was really intrigued by how software works and how to use it to improve people’s lives.
After earning a degree in Civil Engineering, I realised that I wanted to learn more about software engineering so I started a MSc in Information Systems at UCL.
With my desire to combine software development with attention to detail and involvement in stakeholder management, the QA role in a software engineering team seemed a great fit for me.
What would you do if you had unlimited free time?
Travelling the world and meeting new people and cultures in an environmentally-friendly way. I really like exploring new places but the environmental impact of travelling by plane makes short trips more difficult for me to justify nowadays.
Any fun projects on the horizon? What are you and your team up to next?
With the official completion of the acquisition of Goji by Euroclear, fun projects are indeed on the horizon. We have exciting plans of improving our offering to our clients so stay tuned for updates! Also, our team is still growing and we are looking forward to onboarding the new members and making them feel welcomed so they love Goji as much as we do!
